Agua Marina Espinola Salinas and CANYON//SRAM Generation finished Vuelta Ciclista Andalucia Ruta del Sol in 15th place on the general classification.

The final stage from Valle Romano Golf & Resort to Castellar de la Fronter saw a shake-up in the general classification with Tamara Dronova, who had led for four stages, being forced out of the leader jersey by Katrine Aalerud (MOV). CANYON//SRAM Generation had worked hard to support Agua Marina throughout the five-day tour.

RIDER REACTIONS

Agua Marina: “It was a hard final stage. The hardest climb was early in the race. I remembered it from last year, and I decided to put pressure on there to see what happens. After, riders started to attack, and I couldn’t respond. A small group went away. I’m happy with how I raced, and I have no regrets.”

“I always aim for more, and for sure I wanted to be in the top ten. But I have improved from where I was last year which shows I’m on a good path. Our team gained a lot of experience for the future during this tour.”
