It was a fast final as the peloton raced into Olbia in Sardinia today on stage three of the Giro d’Italia Donne. The stage was won by Marianne Vos (JVS) giving the Dutch rider her 31st career victory at the Giro d’Italia Donne.

CANYON//SRAM Racing tried to lead Sarah Roy to the bunch sprint but it was Soraya Paladin who crossed the line as the team’s best-placed rider in 14th. While teammate Elise Chabbey was on the same time, Mikayla Harvey and Neve Bradbury, unfortunately, lost time as a large group of riders went the wrong way with 3.5km remaining causing the pair to lose contact with the peloton and finish the stage losing 43 seconds.

As the race travels from Sardinia to Cesena, it will have a rest day and start stage four in Cesena on Monday 4 July. Elisa Balsamo retains the maglia rosa, with Sarah our best-placed on GC at +27 seconds. Neve Bradbury holds second in the mountain classification.
