NEVE BRADBURY CLIMBING WITH THE BEST AT THE GIRO DONNE

Neve Bradbury had a great performance on stage 7 of the Giro Donne today as the race had a summit finish to Passo del Maniva. The 10km climb saw Juliette Labous (DSM) take a solo win, the only rider remaining from a long breakaway that had Mikayla Harvey present for CANYON//SRAM Racing.

Neve finished as the team’s best-placed rider in 13th, with the leader of the mountain classification Elise Chabbey just behind in 16th. Elise keeps the green jersey going into tomorrow’s hilly stage 8.

“The stage went pretty well for us today. We had Mikayla in the early breakaway and she managed to stay away until the last few kilometres of the race. Elise finished 16th and remains in the top 10 in GC. I am happy with my 13th place, it’s a good sign of improvement. The next 2 stages will be really hard with the terrain, so I will be focusing on eating and drinking and the rest will come. I will think about my aim for stage 10 after we get through these two tough stages – day by day kind of approach,” said Neve.
