Elise Chabbey and Ricarda Bauernfeind finished 10th and 16th on today’s Tour of Scandinavia queen stage. A group of four riders went clear in the climb to Norjefell, albeit from a different side than previous editions. Elise tried gallantly to bridge across, but when she could not, she was caught by a small group of chasers. The group included Ricarda, and together they chased the leaders, finishing just 31 seconds back. Agnieszka Skalniak-Sójka led home the next chase group to finish a little over a minute from the stage winner.

Elise is second in the mountain classification, though tied on points with the leader. She’s the team’s best-placed GC rider, jumping to fifth place at +45 seconds. Ricarda is on the same time, in 15th place.
