Pauline third in Czech Republic
Pauline Ferrand-Prévot made it two World Cup podiums in a row today when she finished third in the UCI Mercedes-Benz MTB World Cup XCO in Nové Mêsto, Czech Republic.
After finishing second in the Short Track XCC event on Friday evening, the Frenchwoman continued her MTB form on a picturesque course lined with spectators.
“I’ve had a nice week in Nové Mêsto and I really like this course. Last week in Albstadt, although I wasn’t at my best, my ninth place still gave me confidence for today. Here I’ve felt good all week in training and I could see that also in the Short Track race on Friday,” said Ferrand-Prévot.
“For today’s race I wanted to give my best and I was aiming for a top eight finish, so I’m happy with my third place today. After being focused on the road for such a long time, and not having ridden my MTB a lot, I’m really satisfied with my race. It gives me even more confidence for the next part of the season and for my bigger goals in 2018,” added Ferrand-Prévot.
