Pauline wins XCO World Cup in Nové Město
Pauline Ferrand-Prévot today won the XCO World Cup in Nové Město, Czech Republic.
“I felt much better than Thursday’s race,” said XCO world champion Pauline.
“Today’s race was shorter, so I knew that I wanted to make it hard and where I wanted to attack. I went full gas and got a gap and I’m glad I could keep it.”
The win gives Pauline a confidence boost ahead of next week’s MTB World Championships in Leogang, Austria.
“I’m super happy to win with this jersey. It gives me a lot of confidence. The year hasn’t been easy for anyone. I missed a lot of racing but now, after these four races in one week, I feel much better. I think I’m ready now for next week’s world championships.”
