ALL SAFELY THROUGH STAGE 2 OF SIMAC LADIES TOUR

Soraya Paladin moved up one place in the general classification after a fast-paced stage two of the Simac Ladies Tour in Ede, the Netherlands.

The stage was won by Lorena Wiebes (DSM) in a bunch sprint ahead of Laura Tomasi (UAE). Soraya finished 12th in the sprint and now sits 7th overall at +21 seconds behind Wiebes.

“The team looked after me all day today and made sure I was in a good position,” said Soraya.

A tailwind sprint meant a high pace but Soraya managed well and could safely get through the stage. Tomorrow’s stage is two large 78km laps around the town of Gennep. With a total elevation of 423m for the 139km-long stage, the sprinters will have another golden opportunity.
