Stage four of OVO Energy Women's Tour
The fourth stage of OVO Energy Women’s Tour again finished in a bunch sprint with a crash within the final three kilometres creating a hectic sprint finish. The stage was won by Amelie Dideriksen (DLT) with Coryn Rivera (SUN) maintaining her lead in the overall.
“It was a strange stage today. There were a lot of crashes with girls risking a lot and some were horrible to see. The climbs were not long enough to split the peloton and afterwards the pace was too high to keep any gaps. For me I felt good in my legs and we will have to see what happens tomorrow,” said Pauline Ferrand-Prévot.
“It was another hard, fast and long stage today, with no place to breathe,” added Alena Amialiusik. “Everyone pays attention to the climbs but somehow it’s still coming back. I still think tomorrow’s hilly stage in Wales is going to be interesting though.”
