Alice Towers Great Britain
Alice Towers joined CANYON//SRAM Racing in 2023 where she has steadily shown her progress and development. She made her Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift debut, finishing fifth in the youth classification herself, Alice was an integral part of the team’s GC podium and mountain classification win.
Still with two more years on her contract, Alice took her first UCI World Tour top ten at the Deakin University Women’s Road Race this year. She was key to teammate Neve Bradbury’s third and second places overall at the Santos Tour Down Under and the UAE Tour Women, respectively.
“Being a pro athlete in the growing world of women’s cycling is special. A few years ago, I would have looked at someone in my position and been in awe and admiration. Now that I am where I am, it’s essential to realise that there are girls younger than me who think the same, and that makes me super grateful and proud to think that I might be inspiring girls who aspire to be professional cyclists, too,” says Alice.
“By the end of my three-year contract I want to have improved a lot and be competitive in all of the top races. I’m not really sure yet what type of rider I am yet, so I just need to focus on continuing to develop and get stronger. I’ve taken a step up to a World Tour team, but it hasn’t felt too massive of a jump. I have a lot of support at CANYON//SRAM Racing with people to ask questions to and learn from. I’m excited for year two!”
