Kasia Niewiadoma Poland

Where were you when the 2024 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift was decided by just four seconds?

Kasia Niewiadoma cemented her place in cycling folklore as she clung to the yellow jersey in a relentless, awe-inspiring battle from the Col du Glandon to the summit of the legendary Alpe d’Huez. That final stage will remain etched in the memories of onlookers for years to come, with suspense and excitement amplified by the closest winning margin in Tour de France or Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift history.

“In racing, you need good legs and to race smartly, but you also need things to go your way. I’ve had so much bad luck and near misses, and my team always brought me back up and kept believing me. I can’t believe we’ve won the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift! A huge thanks to my team, my teammates, our partners and all the fans out there. To take home this yellow jersey and the victory exceeds all expectations.”

Before her meteoric TDFFAZ triumph, Kasia has consistently showcased her exceptional talent, year after year, firmly establishing herself among the very highest echelons of the sport.

In 2023, you could say she was quietly positioning herself to tackle even loftier goals. She earned her second general classification podium at the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift to match her third-place finish from 2022, while also securing the Queen of the Mountains polka dot jersey. Kasia capped off the year with her first-ever rainbow jersey at the UCI Gravel World Championships in October, bolstering her enthusiasm and motivation as she set targets for 2024.

In her eighth year with CANYON//SRAM Zondacrypto, Kasia continued her trademark consistency, securing a classy fourth place at Strade Bianche and a brilliant second at Ronde van Vlaanderen. Then, in an epic display of grit and perseverance, she claimed victory at La Flèche Wallonne – her first win in five years after being the perpetual ‘nearly-woman’.

Kasia’s versatile, tenacious, and fierce persona on the bike gives way to a relaxed and uplifting character off it, both underscored by her unwavering determination, earning her an enthusiastic fanbase worldwide. After extending her contract through 2026, CANYON//SRAM Zondacrypto are thrilled to have her continue leading the team for another two years.

“My big goal is to become a woman who wins the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift twice in a row, and I’m in the best position right now to make that happen in 2025.”

Regardless of what happens moving forward, Kasia has carved out her legacy as a true cycling icon, with her remarkable performances and presence leaving an indelible impact on cycling fans and future generations of riders.
